Exotics

Postby TheRoosters on Fri Aug 17, 2007 1:43 pm

Anyone have any pictures of their exotic looking birds. Doesn't have to be classified as an exotic. Just some nice poultry or birds that they have pictures of and want to post up.
I'll try to get some of my Thai chickens up later.

I have quite a few Shamo/Thai chickens also.
I have been doing good with them lately and hope it stays that way.
I also had a couple Old English Games in the past. Had a black breasted red rooster, a pyle rooster and a couple hens. I gave them all to my brother in law though. They're a little bit too noisy for me. Especially for being their size.

i've got pictures of some red jungle fowl. pictures are on my site. check it out and let me know what you think. here is the site.

here are other sites you could look at
http://ayamhutan.tripod.com/junglefowl.html
http://groups.msn.com/RedJungleFowl/shoebox.msnw

just to let you know: wild pure breed red jungle fowls head is alway straight forward like it has its head on an imagenarey board or so, not hanging down like regular domestic ones, aspecially when you hold them. it's like it sticks its head out proudly and not hang its head down and ashamed. wild pure breed red jungle fowl has lesser tail feathers and just two long ones that stick out from the rest of its tail, even though the other tail feathers grow long when they get older, they never stick out from or go past the bottum tail feathers. also real wild red jungle fowls neck molts or changes color in the winter to pure black and changes its neck color back to yellowish orange in the spring. these are really rare birds to find in the US because ,not like other birds, once they are loose they will disappear from your area and not stick around with the other domestic birds and if not kept clean it will sufficate and die.
remember me...........

We have some started chicks for sale too. Varying colors to choose from.
They are from different roosters and hens.
I can meet up with anyone who is interested in any chicks. We have some that are getting to the age that they will probably start to crow soon.

Prices vary upon plummage color, age, sex and leg color.

Thanks.
