I'll try to make everything as convenient, fast and efficient as possible. I hope every can make use of this site along way as it develops.

I raise Shamo/Thai/Malay/Asil chickens. I also raise Old English Games. I have had great success with Silkies, Cornish and Sex-links.
Also raise a variety of pigeons from Homers, rollers to fancier pigeons such as Fantails, Pouters, Modenas and the like.

Well, talk to you all again.

In the meantime, enjoy.

Hello there charter members! I'm Kelly, I live on a farm near Alexandria MN. I've raised chickens for a few years, both layers and broilers but now I'm branching out into the fancier breeds. I bought myself a hova-bator this spring and started hatching eggs I purchased over the internet. I must say it is a good way to get some variety but my hatching rates haven't been that good.

I currently have four buff geese and one sebastopol goose, seven runner ducks, fawn/white and pure white, 17 Bourbon Red turkeys, five guineas, three button quail and a variety of chickens including easter eggers, cochins, polish, cuckoo marans, silkies and a few odd balls.

I'm always looking for hatching eggs so if you live in the area, let me know. Maybe we can arrange a trade or I could hatch some chicks for you in return for some eggs.

Hello to all also.

We live in Moorhead, MN and raise an assortment of chickens, primarily Buff Orpintons, Black Austalorps and Barred Plymoth rocks, mostly as layers but with a growing number of broilers. We have around 50 chickens/pullets right now. We have hatched our own eggs using the "just let a hen sit on it" method with very good success. We have also tried buying eggs off ebay and had very bad success there (we tried it once, probably not again). We have an old incubator that we will probably start using next year when we hatch a big batch of Buff Orpingtons.

We free range all of our birds and have had no problems with preditors (although we had to work hard to convince our dogs that chickens and pullets are not chew toys).

We also have a few Swedish Blue ducks, a dozen Icelandic sheep and a couple of young quarter horses on our hobby farm (besides our pet dogs, cats and fish).

Hello all,

Just got back into the chicken raising this summer as I have moved out to the country again.

Got 25 cornish x rocks (not for too much longer) and then a bunch of random breeds for eggs and enjoyment.

Currently they are in an enclosed area and I let them free range once in a while, but living next to some DNR state land the preditors are plentiful.

I'll post some updated pics soon.

Thanks Lor for setting up the site, and if you are ever selling any of your modenas let me know as that is the breed of pigeons I want to start keeping again.
